Got to see some amazing new patterns today at Mossy Creek Flyshop’s tiers showcase. Andrij Horodysky showed us how his nitro caddis pattern incorporates the science of light, Andrij has a PHD and recently published a paper on fish vision. Also out on display were some of Blane Chocklett’s new sili skin patterns;Blane not only invented the patterns but he also invented silly skin! His sili skin sculpin looks, as the rappers say, like the “shiznit”. Went to Mossy for a couple hours, arrived at 1pm to clear skies, still managed to make a few rise, no dice. Next time. This creek has really turned me into an optimist.
