Cheap Fluorocarbon : what THEY don’t want you to know

It’s no secret that fluoro is the shiznit, the ish, the cats pajams, ( insert your favorite awesome adj. here). It’s also no secret that it costs more than a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada, ah decisions decisions. Its hard to live in a world where you must choose between alcohol induced euphoria or a no stretch, ultra clear, fish pimp game upping line. Thanks to our research lab/ cost analysis professions at Flycurious, you can now choose both. Now I’m not math major but I”m going to try and break it down for my homies reading this.

A certain fishing company X charges close to $16 dollars a spool for 90 yards of 4lb fluorocarbon. I may or may not get prodeals from that company but for arguments sake lets say that on pro deal the cost gets lowered to $4.91 a spool of 90yd fluoro. Good deal right? Wrong.

Stren Flurorocast charges 8.99 for 200yds of fluorocarbon. If you cut that in half you’re paying 4.50 for 100yds of Fluorocarbon.

Half a spool of Stren is $ 4.50 for 100 yards which is 41 cents cheaper than Company X’s prodeal, not to mention you also get an EXTRA 10 yards.

THAT means that buying Stren at full price is in effect cheaper than buying fluoro on prodeal and still leaves money for a 6 pack!!!!

Now Stren insn’t the only company that offers fluorocarbon at prices this low. This is where I you, my students, go into the field and find what works best/cheapest for you!
