Congratulations to my buddy Frank for landing this monster in a central Virginia Spring Creek. We had an amazing time fishing with our friend and “guru” Ted.

Steelhead in Virginia? Kinda? VDGIF has been putting in “steelhead” strain rainbow trout in Lake Moomaw in the hopes that they would run up the upper Jackson giving Va a spring run of fish. The fly fishing homies out west don’t consider Steelhead true unless they touch salt, they scoff at our Great Lakes “Steelhead”
